FAQ

I am sick, so I cannot come to my reservation. What should I do?

Are you enrolled in a course?

For courses, the rule is that you must attend 80% of the entire course without receiving a fine, so there is nothing to worry about yet.

Have you booked a group lesson, open hour or free space?

In that case, you can cancel an hour in advance via the app. If you haven't canceled an hour in advance, being sick won't be considered a valid reason for absence, and you'll receive a warning or a fine.

How do I make a reservation to exercise at the ACLO?

You can make a reservation in the ACLO app or by logging in to the website. Log in with your student account and then apply a filter to search for specific parts of the sports offer, for example 'group lessons' or 'open hours'. Click on the sport you want to do and click on 'book'. You will then receive a confirmation email.

I am not a student at the University of Groningen or the Hanze. Can I exercise with you?

In some cases, you can exercise at the ACLO even if you are no longer a student at the RUG or Hanze UAS. See this page to see if your situation falls under these exceptions.

Can I take someone without an ACLO subscription with me for a day to exercise together?

Day passes are available for athletes who want to try out the offer once. You can only purchase a day pass if you also have a regular ACLO membership. See this page for more information about who the ACLO's sports offering is intended for. If you have purchased a day subscription and would like an annual subscription the same day, you can request a refund of €9,95 at the counter!

You can use the daily subscription once. Would you like to use our sports offer again? Then you must purchase an annual, semester or summer subscription.

Can I be part of the ACLO myself?

That's certainly possible! The ACLO has several committees, an Executive Board (full-time) and a General Board (part-time), all of which are filled with students. Look here for more information and especially contact if you're interested!
