Petanque is a French outdoor game played with metal balls and a small wooden target ball called a "cochonnet." The goal is to throw your balls as close as possible to the cochonnet, closer than your opponents. The game can be played alone or in teams, and requires both precision and strategy. Petanque is often a social activity and is often played in parks or on specially constructed courts.
