Basic Course 1 approaches running primarily from a coordinative perspective, and the distances covered remain relatively short. By the end of Course 1, you will be able to run hurdles.
Course 2 approaches running more from a metabolic fitness perspective. For course 2, it's helpful to have a watch with a stopwatch function, but it doesn't have to be an expensive sports watch. By the end of course 2, you'll be familiar with various types of interval training.
