Beach tennis combines the passion of tennis with the relaxed atmosphere of beach volleyball. It's the most popular beach sport, especially in Brazil, Italy, and the Caribbean. In this game, you play 2v2 and directly against your opponent, similar to tennis and padel, but the ball isn't allowed to bounce, so it's also somewhat similar to badminton. It's played on a 16x8-meter beach volleyball court with a net height of 1.70cm. The introductory course is taught by a former French youth champion, who will teach you the basics of forehands, backhands, serves, smashes, and lobs. The course consists of five weekly one-hour lessons. Afterward, a tournament will be organized, open to all ACLO students, providing excellent preparation.
This new course is offered by ACLO indoors in the air-filled dome, so no worries about rain. Outdoors in the summer, of course. Rackets and balls are provided, but you're welcome to bring your own.
