Relocation of ACLO City and temporary changes to the sports offerings

ACLO City at Bloemstraat 36 will permanently close its doors around December 2026. A new location has been found, but it still needs to be renovated and made suitable for long-term use. It is not yet known exactly when the new location can be put into use. It is expected that this will be at the start of the new academic year, in September 2027.
In the run-up to the closure, the strength training facilities will be moved to the ACLO Sports Centre at Zernike at the end of November 2026.

What does this mean for the sports offerings?
We aim to continue ACLO City's group class offerings at other location(s) as much as possible. Changes to the program may occur during this transition period. Additionally, we are exploring the possibilities for additional external sports facilities.
At this moment, we cannot guarantee that the full range of sports activities will be maintained.

Temporary consequences of the move
During the relocation of the strength training facilities, expected around the end of November 2026, this section may be unavailable for approximately two weeks. During this period, athletes can use the regular fitness facilities at the ACLO Sports Centre.
We expect few consequences for the group classes during the move. The walking route to the sports hall may be temporarily adjusted.
As soon as there is more clarity regarding the move, the new location, and the future sports offerings, we will of course inform you via a new update.
